Information on congress dinner and dance, field trip to Cachagua
Dear IPC XI delegates,
Time in moving rapidly and in 6 months we will be meeting in Viña del Mar to celebrate our 11th International Penguin Congress.

Saturday, Sept 9th |
10:00-16:00 | Field trip2 We will visit the nearby locality of Cachagua (60 min. by bus from Viña del Mar), where we can get beautiful sights of Cachagua Island (just 100 m from the shore, see pictures below). This will be a great opportunity to spot Humboldt penguins. Other interesting birds we may sight include Peruvian pelicans, Peruvian boobies, Red-legged cormorants, Inca terns, American and Blackish oystercatchers, Chilean seaside cinclodes. We encourage you to bring your binoculars !! We will provide a field snack during the trip (juice, cereal bar, crackers, chips). |

1 We will provide the thansportation to the dinner/party venue from and to the congress venue.
2 For those delegates checking-out from the hotel Bosque de Reñaca on Saturday, the hotel will provide a special place at no cost for storing baggage.
